During today’s Nintendo Direct, Nintendo announced wireless Nintendo Entertainment System controllers for the Nintendo Switch.

The controllers offer an authentic way to play the 20 NES games which will be available as part of the Nintendo Switch Online service, which launches on September 18.

Much like the Switch Joy-Cons, these are sold as a pair of left and right controllers, and can be charged by sliding them onto the rails on the side of the Switch console.

Not only are these controllers available exclusively to Nintendo Switch Online members, you will only be able to purchase one set per paid membership.

Orders will be open on September 18, 2018, with shipping expected to start in December. The price? An eye-watering $59.99 – which could get you a NES Classic Mini instead.
